How does it work?
Open workshop invite you to purchase a 3 sessions card with 3 printing sessions of approx. 4-5 hours studio time.
Of course It is possible to book additional sessions for longer projects separately or to book a single session for a short project.
If more assistance is needed, we can arrange for Accompanied Work with the workshop instructor at an hourly rate.
Information for participants:
You are required to have knowledge and experience with etching techniques/relief techniques (line, aquatint, lino or wood) and basic drawing skills.
For beginners: please inform yourself in advance and book an introduction course for Relief/Lino before joining the OW!
All materials are provided by the workshop (tools, acids, solvents and inks) except Zinc/Copper/PVC plates/Lino plates/wooden blocks and printing paper
bring drawing utensils, sketches, and drafts or anything that is needed for your personal project.

Printmaking/Etching involves the use of a press, mordants, acids, solvent and other chemical materials - this should not be taken lightly —>> After the first work session, if the participant needs more assistance and shows signs of lack of knowledge or inexperience, for the safety of the participant and the workshop, the instructor is entitled to require from the participant to attend a course before joining the Open Workshop again.
